NYC/LA/Berlin DJ/producer/vocalist and Little Giant Records label boss Anna Cavazos returns with her latest track, Persephone, a deep sonorous groove rife with resplendent pads, melodic flourishes, and pulsing rhythms. “I’ve always been moved by songs that have a sultry sound. When I made this track, my vision was to create a song that encompassed the sounds of summer, but also had a hint of edge. Persephone is my interpretation of beauty with an edge.”
The 12″ vinyl also features Pete Moss’ remix that recapitulates the main hook with additional atmospheric and cinematic sensibilities while pushing driving rhythms to the forefront. Next up, the Evren Furtuna remix creates a cavernous psychedelic environment with its clouds of ambient synths, reverbed phrasing, and thrusting percussive edges. Finally, the DJ Jauche rework reimagines the original as a main room disco-infused romp infusing the main riff with additional keys and stylistic twists.
Anna will debut the EP on Bloop Radio London as the vinyl hit the stores on September 13, she will also have a guest spot on BBC Radio early October, and for more mixes, tune in Deepin Radio every Thursday for her new residency, also seen on Magazine Sixty.
