Kicking off in the summer of 2009 at Farbfernseher, Kookoo created a unique and intimate underground vibe bringing together innovative plastic and video art and playing host to DJs like Electric Indigo, Clara Moto, Elbee Bad, Aérea Negrot and Crato. Over the past five years, Kookoo gradually established itself as one of the more forward thinking entities of the Berlin club scene.
Today party creators Mieko Suzuki and Ara celebrate the 5th anniversary of their monthly multidisciplinary collaborative effort with a back to back podcast, capturing the atmosphere of 43 824 hours of Kookoo in a condensed 76 minutes mixture of techno and grid-defying music.
Make sure not to miss out on the celebrations on June 5th at their new Berlin abode Ohm (ex-Shift, next to Trésor). The evening will feature Mieko Suzuki and Ara behind the decks all night long as well as video installations and artwork by Sarah Lüdemann, Yukihiro Taguchi, Carly Fischer and Ink Agop.
