After making a massive comeback to the front of the scene this year, 2015 is set to be the year of DJ Pierre. A pioneer of the squelchy sounds of acid-house through his work with Phuture (for the people who missed out on their incredible Berghain performance, their live Boiler Room set serves as a great introduction to their music), DJ Pierre made a name for himself in the late 80’s and early 90’s with tracks like Fantasy Girl and Your Only Friend and is now back on full form with a release on legendary house imprint Get Physical.
What Is House Muzik showcases the Chicago musician’s ability to craft timeless house songs with a classic acid edge. The track, which was also remixed by Ricardo Villalobos and DJ T, has already shot up to the top of the Beatport charts, achieving number 1 spot on the tech-house charts and number 3 on the house charts.
